About The Scouse Druid (Kevin)
Welcome to The Scouse Druid, the online home of a Brythonic Druid, Awenydd, and Celtic spiritual explorer residing in Northwest England.
Who I Am
Hi! I’m Kevin (but here I go by The Scouse Druid). I follow a Brythonic pagan path, draw inspiration from Celtic lore, and walk the way of the Awenydd. I’m affiliated with the British Druid Order and the Anglesey Druid Order, and through my writings, talks, and workshops, I aim to share what I discover on my journey. I began my journey over 20 years ago as a Alexandrian Kemetic witch, before joining the House of Netjer as a ordained priest. While i deeply enjoyed this part of my paths, i always felt a disconnect worshiping the gods of a land so far away. This lead me to discovering Druidry and Brythonic paganism.
Over the years, I’ve immersed myself in:
- Celtic mythology and mythic archaeology
- Folk magic, herbalism, and plant lore
- Sacred landscapes, local magic, and local spirit places
- Poetry, mythic storytelling, and reflections on nature
I also accept ARC (Advance Reader Copy) books for review, and I’m available for talks, workshops, or participatory projects in the pagan / druidic / spiritual circles. If you would like to discuss this further, please use the form in the Contact page.
Why This Blog Exists
You’ll find here a collection of musings, practical guides, and mythic deep dives that merge personal experience with research. My hope is that readers will:
- Deepen their connection to Celtic spirituality
- Reawaken sensitivity to the living land
- Discover plants, local spirits, and “magia loci” close to home
- Engage with myth, poetry, folklore, and spiritual practice
Some cornerstones you’ll see regularly:
- Herb & plant profiles (magical, medicinal, symbolic)
- Sacred places & local lore
- Book & resource reviews from pagan, druidic, and mythic authors
- Mythology & storytelling rooted in Celtic and British traditions
What Makes The Scouse Druid Different
What sets this blog apart is its grounded, local focus. While many spiritual blogs roam the mythic world in abstraction, here I place emphasis on the land around us. I believe spiritual work is best done in dialogue with your own surroundings – your trees, rivers, stones. I’m not offering pop-spirituality: my aim is to marry lived experience, folkloric depth, and Celtic wisdom in a way that’s rooted here and now.
Also, I try to keep things honest, personal, and yes, a little quirky. Expect reflections, experiments, failures as much as successes.
